Access to datasets through TRUST is governed by the Data Access Committee (DAC), which ensures that the research projects are ethical and beneficial to the public. The DAC also ensures that access and use of data is in line with agreements between TRUST and data contributors.

The DAC publishes an annual report detailing the work undertaken by the Committee and the TRUST Data Requests (TDRs) for that year.
